- The Program Manager recruits, hires and orients staff per established employment procedures to ensure qualified applicants are hired and to minimize turnover and exposure to litigation.
- Monitors staff performance to ensure performance standards are met. Uses disciplinary action or performance evaluations to correct unsatisfactory performance.
- Prepares staff performance evaluations on or before the due date so that employees are aware of areas in need of improvement, areas in which they do well and so that an action plan for further development is prepared.
- The Program Manager manages the monthly line-item budget in order to maintain fiscal budget control.
- The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to all Division of Substance Use.
- Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) policies and must maintain Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Licenses.
- Responsible for completing the application for licensure when due.
- The Program Manager ensures that all online and live training requirements are met to meet compliance.
- Conducts monthly group quality inventories for all staff.
- The Program Manager conducts monthly individual supervision with all staff.
- Conducts monthly Workplace Violence Meetings.
- The Program Manager observes treatment operations for consistency, effectiveness, productivity and quality of offender services in accordance with the GEO Modified TC Modality.
- The Program Manager assists in compliance with contractual obligations as it relates to developing therapeutic community skills / competencies and maintaining staffing ratios.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with IDOC employees and subcontractors; attend meetings / functions (daily, weekly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually) as required.
- Assures that all necessary reports relative to treatment programs are complete and submitted as required, inclusive of development / revision of policies and procedures, criminal thinking scales, annual reports and monthly metrics.
- The Program Manager is responsible for the development of quality assurance with regard to maintenance of offender files and necessary documentation.
- Organizes and facilitates compliance with all applicable Federal, State and program standards as well as represent GEO and Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) in Local, State, and Federal initiatives as deemed appropriate.
- When contacted by IDOC regarding an urgent administrative problem, the Program Manager will respond within two (2) hours; on non-urgent problems, the Program
- Manager will respond within forty-eight (48) hours.
- Conducts audits of all program files ensuring compliance with agency standards.
- Serves as the Hearing Officer for residents with program violations.
- Handles emergency situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Monitors and inspects buildings and grounds for safety, maintenance, security and sanitation.
- Assure residents’ accountability.
- Performs the Case Management duties when needed.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings.
- Other related duties may be requested by the Area Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- The Program Manager will be certified as a chemical dependency professional in Illinois.
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in Counseling, Psychology, Public Administration, Health Services Administration, Criminal Justice, Business Management or other related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Four (4) years’ experience in treatment programming in a residential facility with a CADC may substitute for the required bachelor’s degree.
- Two (2) years of related experience in administrative supervision in substance abuse or corrections field (preferably with male offenders) is required.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
- Available for on-call status.
- Ability to use personal computers and associated software applications.
GEO Reentry Services, LLC
Facility Overview:GEO Reentry Services offers correctional agencies in-custody treatment programs for individuals nearing the end of their jail or prison sentences. Starting treatment before they are released back into the community facilitates consistency in treatment and helps individuals be better prepared for their transition to the community. By assessing an individual’s risk and needs and initiating programming while in prison, the transition to a community-based program is seamless and behavior change is expedited.
Pay:Pay USD $58,000.00/Yr.
