The College of Public Health (CPH) at The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) seeks applications to fill a full-time Program Manager position.
The University of North Texas Health Science Center is one of the three higher education institutions of the University of North Texas (UNT) System, with the UNT at Denton and the UNT at Dallas as two other higher education institutions. Position Overview
A Program Manager will report to the CPH Associate Dean for Community Engagement and Health Equity. The Program Manager is expected to work closely with the CPH faculty, staff and students; HSC and UNT System personnel, external vendors, and community partners. The Program Manager will be responsible for carrying out a special project involving data dashboard and website development, project management functions, mixed method data collection and analysis, and community-facing content development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and four (4) years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to be organized, work with deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to pay attention to details and proactively check and self-correct errors.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to utilize multiple technological tools for managing, visualizing, and analyzing data; and capacity to learn new technologies.
• Ability to write content for community audiences and interpret complex community health and related data indicators for a variety of different end-users.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft office products, including data management and analytics using Excel. Experience using PowerBI, or related data visualization tools such as Tableau, MySidewalk.
• Proficiency in data visualization and data interpretation for community audiences
• Proficiency in technological tools to support data interpretation and understanding, including use of graphic design and formatting tools, geographic mapping, and readability analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of community audiences
• Proficiency in the use of publicly available data for planning purposes

Job Duties:
- Responsible for project management task monitoring and completion.
- Responsible for coordination of internal and external project partner activities to ensure timely progress towards goals and objectives.
- Maintains collaborative working relationships with HSC and CPH staff, faculty, and students, external vendors, and community partners.
- Assists with establishing contracts and MOUs to support project completion and maintenance.
- Monitors and maintains a good record of third-party vendors/suppliers, requisitions, and payments.
- Helps establish and maintain data use agreements and IRB approvals.
- Reviews empirical literature related to data being collected or utilized in the project.
- Develops written content for web distribution.
- Collects and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data.
