About the Job
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program or project management.
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional programs with 3 years of experience in Data Center infrastructure and real estate development (or a similar industry) program management or planning.
- Experience in a cross-functional role that interacts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in physical infrastructure development or real estate development.
Preferred qualifications:
- An Advanced degree.
- Experience with data centers or other critical infrastructure in the areas of site development, construction, design, or engineering.
- Ability to deliver clear, concise, and effective communications that are tailored to your audience, whether technical, non-technical or both, and that link to the big picture.
- Ability to independently develop data-driven technical insights and translate into executable commercial solutions for the business at-large.

Behind everything our users see online is a data center somewhere around the world. Energy Location Strategy (ELS) is part of the broader Global Data Center team and delivery program. The Cloud and Asset Portfolio Solutions (CAPS) Center of Expertise sits within ELS, with the core mission of serving as the interface between the global data center asset delivery and portfolio management function and our product customers requiring data center space. We provide the programs, structure and tool sets for our regional discussion, acquisition and execution teams to consistently make high-quality decisions at scale, with less risk to meet the needs of Google’s business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Orchestrate Data Center development lifecycles, specifically related to greenfield self-developed portfolio, building compelling business justifications to commit to roadmaps that will drive Global data center acquisitions making leading to measurable improvements for the business.
- Exercise sound judgment to independently drive objectives. You will hone your understanding of Google’s broad technical infrastructure teams, it’s acquisition location factors, and site development requirements to narrow in on optimal solutions to drive global data center programs.
- Provide excellence in communications at all leadership levels, including strong presentation skills and the ability to represent status from business, product and technical perspectives. Execute in collaboration with, and through other T/PgMs, and as an individual contributor.
- Build and lead effective program teams within and across the organization.
