The Program Manager has ownership of the planning, funding, portfolio & program management of critical initiatives. This role will report to a Lead Technical Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- As a Program Manager, you will drive organization and structure of a product centric team, providing strategic analysis and alignment of financials, resource capacity, roadmap timelines and risks. You will be creating and operationalizing solutions for process improvement, standardization, and efficiency within the organization.
- You will also focus on stakeholder management, facilitating and communicating program prioritization, scope, and deliverables. This is a highly collaborative role where partnership with many technical and non-technical teams and leaders is essential.
- Plan, evaluate and summarize program performance for leadership; increase transparency to the supporting team and stakeholders.
- Create reporting demonstrating program objectives align with the organization and site's strategic goals and vision.
- Monitor and measure progress of program activities and deliverables against timelines/milestones and required quality standards.
- Manage risks and opportunities, take a proactive problem-solving approach; share insights with a point of view to make actionable recommendations.
- Assist with developing and maintaining a roadmap to evaluate prioritization, gain an understanding of business strategies and align with technology solutions.
- Deliver standardized processes and reporting, identify opportunities to continuously improve efficiency within the organization.
- Consolidate resource demand and capacity details across the program; planning for leveled resource allocation across multiple projects and activities.
- Gather reports, analyze, and manage forecast inputs within the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system in alignment with key program parameters.
- Research and provide cause of change for financial variances; support for monthly/quarterly Financial and Portfolio updates.
- Provide support for Long-Term, Annual Capital and Operating Plans.
- Foster and evolve partnerships with a diverse set of program stakeholder teams and executive partners to collaborate for deliverables.
- Operate with a data-driven mindset, leveraging quantitative information and facts for analysis.
Skillset / Experience:
- BA or equiv
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft 365 Products
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to balance & shift gears while maintaining a good sense of humor.
- Proficient in project management skills; project & resource planning, risk/issue management & organizational change.
- Excellent communication, writing & interpersonal skills with all leadership levels.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle & delivery methods.
- Experience in product-oriented organizations using agile methodologies.
- Experience partnering with multiple creative & technical teams.
- Excellent negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for all parties.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Smartsheet Project Management Software (or equivalent)
- Experience with Clarity Project Portfolio Management Software
- Understanding of growth strategy frameworks
- Experience with concept & new business model exploration projects
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
