Location: Remote (EST only) - Preference for someone willing to occassionally visit the New York, NY office
Duration: 9 months + extensions
Compensation: $56-$85/hr

Job Description:We are seeking a highly organized and motivated program manager to join our Developer Programs team. This role will support a global community of third-party developers as they build and ship high-quality mixed reality (MR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences.
In this position, you will build, manage, and nurture a healthy developer community by understanding and implementing the needs of developers while driving business and product priorities. You will have the opportunity to shape program goals and execute key initiatives, including virtual and in-person event activations such as summits and hackathons.
You should be comfortable working cross-functionally and have experience partnering with project teams composed of internal employees and external vendors. Your role will involve building relationships and collaborating with Product, Engineering, Research, Support, Product Marketing, and Legal teams.
The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, technically inclined, and enjoys creating content for a technical developer audience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day community management activities and events, including hosting educational programming, providing community updates, coordinating projects, and managing event logistics.
- Foster a positive and inclusive community culture.
- Create playbooks for successfully executed projects and refine project management processes and standards.
- Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal partners and external vendors to drive collaboration and achieve project goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience engaging a global developer community both online and offline.
- 4+ years of experience in product strategy, developer advocacy, or equivalent work in a product organization.
- Proven communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally, both internally and externally.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Game Development, or equivalent degree/experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in game development, developer advocacy, product evangelism, or technical community building.
- Experience developing and driving large-scale programs or products in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously to meet or exceed business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills, with experience writing developer-oriented content.
- Ability to escalate issues and risks appropriately.
- Experience with relevant technologies and/or software development.
