Work Location: 2760 West 33rd Street, Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY

Hours: Full Time – Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm ability to be on call 24 hours a day/seven days a week in case of emergencies

Reports to: Division Director

Sea Rise One is a 72-unit permanent supported housing program located in Coney Island Brooklyn. The program specifically services Serious and Persistent Mental Ill (SPMI) adults, Youth Adults exiting shelter, and consumers from the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). The Program offers a safe environment and supportive services to help our clients move towards long term stability and become part of the Coney Island community.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for cultivating a safe and affirming living environment for formerly homeless adults, many living with a significant mental illness and other disabilities, and some identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
2. Provide consistent, high quality program service delivery to all clients in accordance with funder and regulatory requirements; best practices; BCS policies and Core Values; and Code of Conduct for Custodians of People with Special Needs.
3. Oversee the day-to-day operations of supportive housing program including the implementation of all fiscal, programmatic, and administrative policies and procedures.
4. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all clinical operations at program site.
5. Oversee all expenditures to ensure all budgetary requirements are met and program remains fiscally viable for the operating year.
6. Work in close collaboration with property management to navigate all client related issues.
7. Attend and actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual interdisciplinary team meetings.
8. Provide opportunities for staff to receive on-going training to ensure staff competency.
9. Conduct internal audits and quality assurance checks to ensure client records remain in compliance at all times.
10. Ensure program staffing levels are maintained at all times.
11. Participate in both internal and external committees and associations.
12. Complete performance evaluations for all direct reports.
13. Ensure compliance with contract performance standards.
14. Responsible for the completion of all reports as specified by program stakeholders.
15. Provide supervision to clinical staff and ensure that staff is providing adequate and supportive case management services to program residents.
16. Facilitate staff meetings and resident community meetings.
17. Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and community organizations.
18. Represent BCS within the larger Coney Island Community.
19. Perform other duties as assigned by Division Director.

Qualifications:

1. MSW or equivalent degree, with a minimum of five years of experience working with homeless adults and persons living in supported housing. Clinical experience required, LMSW preferred.
2. Three years supervisory experience.
3. Fingerprinting and background check required.
4. Afternoon and weekend coverage required.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, supervisory and team-building skills, including the ability to motivate, align staff efforts to changing priorities and approaches, set goals, delegate responsibilities, and manage staff performance so as to ensure effective service delivery in accordance with organizational goals and program contracts.
