Program Director Opportunity for Neurology Residency Program in Northern California at CommonSpirit Health

Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center in partnership with Touro University Medical Group is recruiting a Program Director for one of the newest ACGME Accredited Neurology residency program in California, which started in Academic Year 2022-2023. As part of succession planning, the new PD will have the opportunity to lead our GME program into the future.

About the opportunity:
New neurology program has joined 9 existing residency programs accredited by Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) 

• 355 Bed Acute Care Hospital  
• State of the Art Educational Training Facility including simulation labs and smart classrooms
• 75-90% Clinical activity including Teaching residents and medical students/ 10-35% Protected Time.
• Aspirations for establishing a Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Expanding epilepsy services including Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Active in-patient consultation and ward service
• Opportunities for both in-patient and/or outpatient clinical work
• Opportunities for clinical neurophysiology (EEG, EMG, Nerve Conduction Studies, Evoked Potentials)
• Opportunities for scholarly activity In accordance with ACGME requirements
• Clinical Faculty Track at Touro University, California with Rank and Promotion in accordance with faculty policy.

Candidates must have a willingness to initially see both general neurology and patients within your subspecialty.   In addition to general neurology, we are looking for fellowship trained neurologists in:    

• Epileptology
• Memory/Neurodegenerative Disorders
• Clinical Neurophysiology
• Neuroimmunology 
• Neurovascular/Stroke
• Pain Medicine

What we offer: 

• Guarantee Base Salary ($330-$350k, Depending on Experience) + Sign-On Bonus + Relocation + Student Loan Repayment
