Job Title: Climate Resilience Industry Program Coordinator, Talent and Business Development
The region of CO-WY is well-positioned to develop innovative solutions for environmental monitoring, measurement, verification, and prediction. These solutions will empower citizens, communities, governments, and industry to build climate-resilient communities.
The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation have partnered with the CO-WY Engine on this groundbreaking initiative, which is set to catalyze significant outcomes that will reshape the landscape of climate technology and regional economic development in Colorado and Wyoming. The first significant outcome is the development and commercialization of advanced climate-resilient technologies. These technologies - from environmental monitoring to predictive analytics - aim to empower communities, governments, and industries to effectively navigate and adapt to the multifaceted challenges of climate change.
By focusing on innovative solutions in areas like wildfire mitigation, water resource management, sustainable agriculture, and adaptation to extreme weather events, the CO-WY Climate Resilience Engine is poised to revolutionize how we understand, predict, and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
The CO-WY Climate Resilience Engine is set to profoundly impact workforce development and community engagement. It places a strong emphasis on inclusive growth, ensuring that these economic benefits reach diverse communities.
In this contract, grant-funded role, we seek a talented and dedicated Climate Resilience Program Coordinator to support the high-profile Colorado-Wyoming Engine as we serve the National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant. The Program Coordinator will be focused on various workforce and talent strategies, including developing, managing and tracking apprenticeship placements, grant reporting, and administrative support of Metro Denver EDC’s economic development, business recruitment and regional talent attraction efforts., This position will play a vital role in identifying and connecting talent to opportunities in Climate Resilience within the Colorado-Wyoming region. This position will report to the Climate Resilience Business Development Director.
Your responsibilities will include:
- In an administrative and technical capacity, supporting functional roles of Metro Denver EDC’s Climate Resilience Business Attraction, Talent Attraction, and Workforce Pipeline initiatives.
- Development and coordination of community/business partnerships to support workforce development
- Coordinate with external non-profit and community workforce centers, internships, externships, apprenticeships, and organizations that facilitate work shadow opportunities
- Educate community partners about our strategic initiatives
- Provide administrative support for our strategic partners such as LinkedIn and Meyers Briggs
- Liaise with the Metro Denver EDC Economic Competitiveness Team to communicate with and distribute workforce data to external partners
- Place and track individuals into workplace training and apprenticeship opportunities
- Develop, track, and maintain databases for grant reporting

Qualifications:
- Work experience as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, HR Assistant, Grants Coordinator or similar role
- Office and administrative knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
- Basic knowledge of labor legislation/regulation
- Pro-business beliefs that are consistent with the organizations' mission and generally with the positions of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce
- Experience using professional social networks (LinkedIn, in particular)
- Excellent organizational skills
- High School Diploma required
