Major/Essential Functions
- Coordinates acceptance of candidates into medical residency programs to include process application, scheduling interviews, computers, telephone daily handling candidate evaluations and reporting matching programs, Develops, maintains and coordinates clinical rotations schedules for residents at the teaching hospital and/or off-site training programs, in conjunction with the Residency Program Director.
- Coordinates training/lecture programs and records evaluation of training programs.
- Develops informational materials including news letters, brochures, training materials and manual, as appropriate.
- Maintains residency program records and evaluations.
- Completes program reports, in accordance with accreditation standards; tracks participant progress through the program for completion of requirements; coordinates information required for ongoing program certification.
- Assists and maintains liaison between the program and the residency review committee/GME.
- In conjunction with traveler, will coordinate resident travel arrangements and reimbursement.
- Maintains program letters of agreements for residents at attaching hospital an/or offsite training programs, in conjunction with residency program director.
- Attends Residency committee meetings audits faculty personnel files in accordance with ACGME for accreditation council for graduate medical education regulations.
- Provides and performs back-up administrative support for the research and clerkship programs, as needed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and respective programs.
- Prepare and submit personnel action forms (EPAFs) as needed for Residency program Assist with ATLS and under performance standards liaison between the department purchasing coordinator and surgery residents.
- Will provide purchasing coordinator with information with information as appropriate, for P-card transaction, direct pays or purchase order requisitions needed for residency program.
- Performs other duties assigned by chairman, residency program director or administrator with the scopes of the position following TTUHSC policies and procedures in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and residency program.
- Adhere to all TTIHSCEP policies procedures and processes. Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSCEPs values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).
- Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of medial residency operating principles an procedures highly organized in planning and scheduling techniques knowledge of ACGME residency accreditation and certification requirements / standards.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills communicate effectively, both orally and in writing ability to create, compose, and edit written materials ability to operate personal computer, familiar with various software programs.
