Partners In Care (PIC) is a private non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization offering programs and services that support the independence of older adults aged 60 years and older in our communities.

We accomplish this through a unique culture of service exchange where member volunteer their time and talents to help each other with neighborly services such as transportation, handyman repairs, person-centered support, and social engagement. In exchange, members ask for assistance when needed.
About the role:
A successful Program Coordinator will have a broad knowledge of program management principles and community activities affecting older adults in their area. This position requires someone with a strategic mindset as well as the ability and experience to lead and develop their subordinates. The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the site. The driving goals of this position are to increase efficiency, visibility, financial sustainability, and community awareness of Partners in Care to better serve the Older Adults in the Mid Shore area.
Direct Reports:
- Volunteer Recruiter (outreach).
- Program Volunteers (receptionist, ride drivers, handymen, etc.).
- Pop-up Boutique Volunteers
Report to:
- President / CEO
- Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with upper management to develop a business strategy for the site.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest solutions.
- Partner with upper management & community leaders to increase the awareness of programs offered.
- Seek, obtain, and develop new partnerships with local community influencers to better serve our members.
- Research and develop a strategic plan to increase financial sustainability through grants, donations, and fundraising activities.
- Attend community events and business meetings outside the office.
- Travel to alternate PIC sites for training and development.
- Mentor and develop direct reports and volunteers.
- Conduct performance reviews of direct reports.
- Verify timesheets and maintain direct report schedules.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming office.
- Work with Management and Staff to ensure adequate office coverage.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Proven leadership skills (using the servant leadership model).
- Project management experience.
- Ability to prioritize projects.
- Excellent communication skills (phone, media, and face-to-face).
- General office equipment and computer knowledge.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Salary commensurate with experience.
