Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing all tasks associated with the pool, gym, and waterfront during the appropriate season. Facilitate and coordinate participant activities. This position performs a wide range of logistic and program duties.

Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing all tasks associated with the pool, gym, and waterfront during the appropriate season. Facilitate and coordinate participant activities. This position performs a wide range of logistic and program duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Health and Wellness Center and Waterfront
- Primary lifeguard for waterfront and pool.
- Lead staff at the waterfront, overseeing all aspects of maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment at our waterfront.
- Work with summer staff to ensure the waterfront is ready to open each morning (boats in the water, paddles/PFDs, and supplies are ready to go, etc.) and that the waterfront is closed up each night boats secured, supplies put away, etc.)
- Attend adaptive paddling training course.
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule trainings for waterfront volunteers.
- Keep up with inventory and maintenance of waterfront supplies.
- Ensure gas-powered boats remain properly fueled, and coordinate with Facilities Manager for fueling and maintenance.
- Work with Program Manager to develop and lead fitness programs for veterans, caregivers, families, and staff.
- Lead staff at the pool to ensure safety and enjoyment.
- Keep up with inventory of pool recreation and maintenance supplies.
- Responsible for testing and maintaining pool chemicals at recommended levels.
- Accountable for keeping pool and deck area clean at all times.
- Responsible for maintaining gym and fitness areas including safety inspections (opening and closing duties, cleaning equipment, resetting weights and equipment, and coordinating needed maintenance with Program Manager).
- Direct supervision of the summer waterfront coordinator and all volunteers at both the waterfront and pool.
- As needed, travel 2-3 times per year for TMF activities.
- Other duties as needed to maintain the highest quality of standards that ensure veteran family’s safety and success are first priority.
- Facilitate and coordinate participant activities.
- Work with Program Manager to bring in new and/or local opportunities for activities and sports offered at the retreat.
- Attend trainings and maintain relevant certification, i.e., ropes course, lifeguarding, adaptive, paddling, kayak rescue, CPR, and first aid.
- Support running virtual TMF “weekends at home” on weekends/evenings throughout the year.
- Run monthly book club and assist with ongoing virtual activities/events/programs.
- Maintain inventory of swag items and supplies.
- Work with the volunteer coordinator to establish volunteer needs for programming activities and events.
- Oversee program volunteers.
- Project management as directed: manage projects in coordination with program staff (ex: online photos system, weekly videos, online record management system).
- As needed, travel 2-3 times per year for TMF activities.
- Other duties as needed to maintain the highest quality of standards.
