Summary: The Program Coordinator works under the general supervision and reports directly to the Program Manager of the Workforce Development Department. The Workforce Development Department provides multiple training programs for unemployed/underemployed youth and adults as career pipelines into Lifespan's workforce. The Program Coordinator plays a key role in design and execution of Workforce Development programs aiding the Program Manager in development case management networking budget maintenance and work readiness training.
Responsibilities: Manage and oversee program(s) implementation and completion including participant recruitment selection onboarding participant progress and graduation ceremonies Oversee 16-week employment and job-training / re-entry program for individuals impacted by the justice system Create productive partnerships with industry leaders Lifespan administrative and clinical leadership teams and community based organizations Develop relationship with Human Resources Talent Acquisition team to maintain training to employment pathway for program participants Build and maintain network of resource providers such as state agencies food banks homeless shelters etc. Oversee develop and continually monitor department budget and expenses Work with Department of Labor and Training grant advisor to manage existing funding and secure new funding Major focus on tracking and maintain program data as well as translating date to communicate department accomplishments and milestones Provide day to day case management to program participants while programs are running Collaborate with various departments throughout the Lifespan affiliate system Participate as full member of Human Resources Talent Acquisition team Provide human resources support to program participants including new hire onboarding tasks assistance with payroll issues and providing feedback and corrective action plans as needed. Communicate with community organizations and share information about progress to enhance the quality of services provided for program participants. Work with an interdepartmental team to review and adjudicate participant files. Research and build resources and team knowledge to help program participants navigate community and internal resources so they can develop independence and self-sustainability. Clearly and accurately document in case files Complete required paperwork in a timely manner Provide support services to all program participants Work closely with department directors to monitor program participants� performance
Other information: Bachelor's degree Previous experience working with community-based organization Possesses strong understanding of the department of justice system Previous experience working with individuals impacted by the justice system Program/Project Coordinator experience preferred but not required Previous experience in administrative and/or clinical settings Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to engage with a broad range of people Strong organizational and time management skills with strict attention to detail Ability to function independently with a high degree of flexibility Ability to collect analyze and present data Possesses strong work ethic and is a self-starter Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
