Work Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)
Shift: Shift 1
Work Schedule: 8 Hr
Summary:
This position is a key member of the Rush Center for Excellence in Aging (CEA). The Program Coordinator supports the management of Center grants, including geriatric workforce development grants. This position coordinates educational workshops and trainings, contributes to curriculum development, and supports the implementation of Age-Friendly initiatives. This position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values, and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
+ Support Program Manager in creating and maintaining comprehensive project plans, documentation, and reports.
+ Coordinate project management activities.
+ Schedule stakeholder meetings.
+ Set agendas for committees and work groups.
+ Document and follows up on action items and decisions following meetings.
+ Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
+ Ensure project deadlines are met.
+ Monitor project progress and remediate issues that arise.
+ Escalate identified barriers to Program Manager where applicable.
+ Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
+ Coordinate activities of the program with inter-related activities of other programs, departments, or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications.
+ Assist with program data collection and analysis.
+ Contribute to curriculum development, including writing and editing program materials such as curriculum scripts, presentation notes, and other written content.
+ Maintain program email inbox and respond to inquiries.
+ Manage the program’s learning management system in collaboration with other program staff
+ Write bi-monthly program newsletter.
+ Manage social media accounts.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Other information:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 2 years administrative/coordinator program experience.
• Organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize information.
• Strong critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions.
• Ability to set goals and manage multiple complicated tasks.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines.
