Our client, a higher education institution in Cambridge, MA, is looking to hire a Program Coordinator to cover an employee’s leave for an 8-month period starting mid-April. The individual in this role will support graduate students from a wide variety of programs in designing and delivering events, including club events and conferences, among other duties.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain team process documentation used for onboarding, cross-training, and contingency planning
- Manage student club operations and processes, including funding, dues payment, and other financial processes in consultation with the Financial Coordinator
- Work closely with Associate Directors on designing and delivering trainings on a variety of leadership and event management topics
- Oversee the school’s event and group management platform
- Responds to all refund requests from university office events, clubs, and partners and processes payments
- Serve as part of a team that delivers major departmental events and provides personal support services to graduate students
- Serve as primary contact and liaison for the program office on Student Life programming, resources, or support matters
- Advise/train individuals and teams on financial and events management policies and processes, strategic planning, leadership, and project management
- Act as primary advisor for domestic student travel including reviewing applications and advising on itineraries, risk management, and resources
- Manage physical security, access, and maintenance for the office and wellness spaces including prayer rooms, lactation rooms, and quiet rooms
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education required
- Must have at least 4 years of program management and/or project coordination experience
- Event coordination experience/background preferred
- General tech savvy and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Demonstrated ability regarding diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize competing tasks/responsibilities
- Must be a resourceful, efficient problem solver with sound judgment and sense of urgency
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt calmly to shifting circumstances
- Adept communicator able to liaise with a wide variety of people/populations (faculty, team members, students, etc.)
- Should be comfortable speaking up and asking questions
- Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy
