About the Job
Overview We are seeking a Program Analyst (SBIR Warfare Center Coordinator) to support our Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program to serve as a field agent for the NAVSEA SBIR/STTR PM and will be strategically placed at Navy Warfare Center facilities to cover the breadth of Navy SBIR/STTR involvement in San Diego, CA.
The Program/Acquisition Analyst's role involves interaction with TPOCs, PEO/PM, NAVAL X, Office of Small Business advocates, and small business personnel to keep them informed on Navy SBIR/STTR at each of the Warfare Centers, answer questions and support ongoing SBIR/STTR efforts, and to facilitate transition opportunities.
Position is in San Diego, CA (remote).
What will you do?
• Work with the TPOC, Program Offices, and Technology Managers to develop topics for technology development
• Assist the TPOC and PEO Coordinators in project administration
• Identify the most promising transition opportunities from Phase II companies where further SBIR/STTR investment would have the most impact during Project Reviews
• Provide technology transition/commercialization services to such companies to include matchmaking with potential transition partners
• Serve as an advisor and/or facilitator between the company and the identified potential customer(s).
This shall include, but not be limited to, understanding the needs of the transition customer, providing advice on solving customer risk or "gap" issues with SBIR technologies and facilitate investment and sales activities
• Serve as an advocate for the SBIR/STTR effort and NAVAL X with the objective of developing, delivering and integrating a technology/product into a POR.
As a result of this advocacy, both the SBIR company and the transition customer(s) should have a better assessment of funding issues, risks, intellectual property, communications and business practices
• Recommend where the NAVSEA SBIR/STTR PM shall consider investing additional funding to high producing technology companies including opportunities reportable under the CRP Do you have what it takes? Required Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree, and minimum of 2 years of experience with DoD Programs
• Strong experience with Microsoft suite of products especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience working with Office 365, SharePoint, association management systems, mass email systems, and website content management systems is preferred
• Must be able to work independently and must have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding matters of significance
• Must have an active Secret Clearance Preferred Skills:
• SBIR/STTR experience
• Navy experience This position is contingent upon contract award.
VTG's estimated starting pay range is $65,000-$85,000 which is a general guideline for the geographic location.
When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
