Hybrid 3 days a week at one of the Cap One officesacross the US.

Job Description:

A Profile Developerwithin our Retail Bank Technology requires the design, coding, and testing ofsoftware projects, with a special focus on the underlying architecture ofsystems and integration between them. Duties include development in one or moreof the following technologies: Mumps, Profile Scripting Language (PSL), SQL.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Development Team Leader and business owners to refine and clarify project requirements.
• Work with the Development Team Leader to help manage tasks and stories.
• Provide team leadership and proactively seek out areas for improvement.
• Produce detailed design specifications from project requirements.
• Design, Develop & test Projects using existing design standards and within accepted defect rate based on specification documents.
• Help gather and provide input to assist in overall team process improvement and product design stability.
• Properly track issues and resolutions in relation to the development effort using JIRA.
• Ensure that all code retains logical stability, reliability, confidentiality, and integrity of Capital One systems in accordance with Capital One policies, procedures and guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing on Profile application (MUMPS and PSL).
• At last 5 years of professional experience developing banking software such as financial products and financial reporting features.
• 3%2B years working in an Agile Environment.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with multi-tier system design and implementation.
• Scripting language experience (Shell Scripts, Awk).
• Knowledge of cloud engineering topics.
• Good working knowledge of banking concepts.

Preferred Qualification:

• Prior Capital One experience.
