About the Job
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Review Nurse. In this remote role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of medical billing and care delivery. Utilizing your clinical and technical expertise, you will analyze medical services, identify potential billing errors, and review medical reports to guarantee the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the necessity of review processes and effectively communicate any concerns to relevant parties.
Collect and analyze supporting data to make informed decisions regarding billing and treatment plans.
Thoroughly document findings and conclusions in designated systems.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Remain responsive to additional responsibilities as assigned by management or dictated by industry changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders including claims adjusters, physicians, and colleagues.
Strong negotiation skills, especially in negotiating provider fees.
Proficiency in computer literacy.
Knowledge of worker's compensation claims is preferred.
Education and Experience:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience.
Associate Degree in Nursing preferred, along with familiarity with C.P.T. and I.C.D.10 codes.
Previous experience in medical bill auditing and clinical areas such as O.R., I.C.U., C.C.U., E.R., and orthopedics is advantageous.
Pay Range:
Salary ranges from $50,593 to $81,593, with adjustments based on location and other factors.
