Qualifications:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED ( List specific education, experience, training/certifications,proficiencies needed. Must support the essential duties and serve as primarycriteria for selecting/rejecting candidates). High school diploma, GED or 2-3years manufacturing experience.
Ability to work in a team based environment with littleto no supervision.
Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and inwriting
Good reasoning/mechanical aptitude.
PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS ( List any furtherqualifications you would prefer the ideal candidate to have)
Manufacturing experience in a team based environment
Familiarity with Safety Programs in a manufacturingfacility
PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, andpresentation applications
Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing systems
Good understanding of quality and board specifications.
WORKING CONDITIONS (Indicate amount of travel, unusualwork - hours/shifts or environmental conditions.
Normal work hours with occasional optional as well asmandatory overtime necessary to meet deadlines or objectives
Normal office and manufacturing plant environment whichmay include exposure to industrial solvents, liquids and other materials.
The working environment will extend to both hot and coldconditions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (List only physical requirements thatare essential to the position and/or cannot be easily accommodated.)
Must be capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) necessary to comply with government and company safety standards
Job includes tasks that require bending, liftingmaterials weighing up to 50 lbs., twisting, gripping and stair climbing
Responsibilities:
Run production equipment and/or product cleaning process,move materials. Takes responsibility for product quality and performsappropriate tests in order to make meaningful decisions. Works with the team toproduce the highest quality product to ensure Preferred Status on an efficientbasis.
Inspects and maintains equipment. Technicians will ownbreakdowns of equipment in their work area. Assists other Techniciansthroughout the plant with repairs as requested.
Immediately addresses equipment deficiencies to maintainlike-new equipment standards.
Operates mobile equipment in the normal course of dailyactivities to move both wallboard and raw materials.
Safely lifts wallboard, raw materials, and equipment asneeded to perform duties.
Possesses considerable knowledge of plant computerhardware and software, inputs and retrieves information and trains others inthese areas.
Controls inventory of finished, scrap and held goods.Maintains established minimum raw material and product inventories andreorders/replenishes them as required.
Establishes and maintains the highest degree ofhousekeeping and 5S (Sorting, Straightening, Shining, Standardizing,Sustaining) in all areas.
Routinely meets with assigned team to freely discussrecommendations/suggestions for improvement and openly receives feedbacktargeted to improve the performance of the business.
Actively participates in coordinator functions.
Actively contributes to the WCM (World ClassManufacturing) process.
Learns and performs various jobs throughout the plant.Teaches job skills to others, on the job and in a classroom setting. Ispositive when teaching others.
Meets daily with the Technician Team and other designatedteams or individuals to produce the best product possible.
Meets with assigned plant groups; shares in the work ofthe group and reports progress/updates back to assigned team.
Supports and helps others throughout the plant at alltimes.
Other duties as required.
