Purpose of Position:
To manufacture the highest quality product, according to Company and Customer’s specifications as efficiently and economically as possible.
+ This position will be second shift after training. Candidate may be required to work a different shift pattern from time to time as the activity changes. Longer term (as opportunities arise) there is potential to move to other shifts.
- Major Responsibilities – Ongoing Tasks
+ Welding with a handheld torch.
+ Monitoring and managing fiberizing equipment.
+ Converting produced fiber into yarns of different weights (similar to thread).
+ Loading and unloading drying ovens.
+ Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
+ Visually and through testing ensure material produced meets customer expectations.
+ Complete production reports including quantities produced and materials consumed.
+ Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Computer skills for production data entry, required
+ QAD experience, a plus
+ Minimum of three to five years of experience with mixing/blending/pressing operations, preferred.
