Title: License Plumbing Journeyman
Reports To: Production Management
Location: Roswell, NM
Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing all plumbing work to ensure it meets BiltWise's quality standards. This includes managing the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plumbing systems in the production of modular homes. The role ensures that all plumbing components are safe, functional, and compliant with regulations before homes are ready for site delivery.
Business Outcomes:
BiltWise houses leave for site with fully operational and code-compliant plumbing systems.
Plumbing work is completed with precision and attention to safety, contributing to the overall quality and craftsmanship of our homes.
Essential Functions:
Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
Lead the installation and testing of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and fixture connections, according to plans and specifications.
Supervise plumbing teams, ensuring all work aligns with quality standards and project timelines.
Inspect and troubleshoot plumbing systems, ensuring all components function correctly before module delivery.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., electrical, framing, HVAC) to ensure plumbing activities are completed in sync with the overall production schedule.
Ensure compliance with all relevant plumbing codes, safety regulations, and standards.
Train and mentor team members to enhance skillsets and ensure the consistent high-quality output of work.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, promoting efficiency on the production floor.
Identify and resolve any plumbing-related issues or defects prior to module shipment, implementing solutions to avoid delays.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and best practices for residential construction.
Skilled in the use of plumbing tools, materials, and diagnostic equipment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate a small team.
Keen attention to detail, ensuring accurate and high-quality plumbing installations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues efficiently.
Physical stamina for lifting equipment, working in confined spaces, and working at Physical Requirements:
