Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Establish sequence of jobs and priority across the University's Student System, Financial System, and Human Capital Management to optimize batch processing to ensure SLA and OLA goals are met which include:
+ Resolve daily issues
+ Build new processes as requested using Automic scripting
+ File transfers
+ Processing oversight
+ Data security
+ Maintaining all aspects of a production environment
+ Handle daily schedule of flow and how they impact other batch processing within other systems and how to best to prioritize to improve required resources vital for batch streams to ensure high-availability and stability of production environments to maintain consistent and real-time batch processing as the need arises by the customers
+ Resolve technical production issues that affect batch processing to ensure disruptions are minimal to prevent data processing delays.
+ Collaborate with development teams to support their work efforts by building and testing efficient batch jobs and flows following standard methodologies to ensure data integrity
+ Follow change control processes to accurately document and supervise all production changes.
+ Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers while developing positive customer relationships to deliver the high-quality service required.
+ Create and test job plans in Automic to ensure standard processes are used
+ Assist in migrations for all Enterprise Systems that moves code through an auditable environment chain.
_Secondary Responsibilities_
+ Participate in an on-call rotation for weekend and night coverage of all systems when abends or other problems occur to ensure 24/5, off hour, weekend, and holiday coverage to support the business and student systems.
+ Determine and direct proper corrective actions as it relates to processing issues through proper advancement procedures and channels and identify, document, and perform root cause analysis.
+ Develop thorough documentation for systems, processes, and procedures that properly inform, demonstrate and/or teach team members all aspects related to batch processes and batch processing applications.
+ Enhance existing and create new processes and procedures to change or improve efficiencies in the department

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or equivalent professional experience. (The educational requirement may substitute professional experience on a year for year basis).
+ One (1) year of experience working in a service desk, call center, data processing, or other customer service environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in the following:
+ Automic Automation/Automic Workload Manager/UC4, including ability to understand and write Automic scripting code
+ Unix or Linux administration
+ Documenting systems and processes/procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Ability to work independently and directly as a team member with other Production support and other IT departments.

The Production Support Professional assists in the management and oversight of all batch processing for the University of Colorado systems and applications. This position serves as a technical professional with the ability to understand IT processes, issue resolution, test, craft technical documentation and assist university key partners with any inquiries that the team may receive. The Production Support Professional will need to have a solid basis of IT knowledge and the ability to work on an on-call schedule. This position is Essential Services. Positions falling into Essential Services are required to work their normal hours even when the office is closed during a normal or holiday week. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Production Services and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified staff system.
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule, working most days from home and some days in office.
