Job Details:
- Oversee daily operations of our manufacturing plant, ensuring that production schedules are met and quality standards are upheld.
- Implement and enforce safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Work closely with the Community Standards Advisor to ensure our operations align with the community's expectations and regulations.
- Manage and maintain machinery, ensuring regular maintenance and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring materials are adequately stocked and organized.
- Monitor and measure staff performance, providing feedback and implementing performance management strategies when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to align production with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the Manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with Plastics Manufacturing and Injection Molding Machinery.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of OSHA regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in 5S lean/six sigma methodologies and GMP.
- Prior experience in plant production management and machinery maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability in staff training and performance management.
- Experience as a Community Standards Advisor is a plus.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in inventory management.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is a must.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
