Summary:We’re looking for a strong leader who puts people and safety at the core of their work. As a Production Supervisor, your team will rely on you for guidance in the areas of quality, productivity, efficiency, and safety. Our environment moves fast, 24 hours per day, so your strengths in multi-tasking, follow-up, and communication will be imperative to keeping our process, and tires, rolling. If you’re mechanically inclined and enjoy solving problems hands-on, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:Working with other Supervisors and Managers, you will oversee the daily activities of team members and production in a specific area. In doing so, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the highest level of safety awareness, personally, as well as coaching others on best practices on a daily basis
- Recognizing any issues with quality, reporting, and recommending improvements as necessary
- Tracking performance against set goals and recording countermeasures for areas falling short
- Providing a comfortable work environment where there is mutual respect between team members and leadership
- Creating and analyzing data that is relative to production, safety, employees, quality, etc.
- Managing and implementing employee policies/procedures as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement
- Responding to mechanical issues in a timely manner and developing a plan for countermeasures
- Handling multiple tasks as they arise, with the ability to set priority and manage timeliness
- Problem-solving and following-up on happenings within the department and those that affect other areas of the plant
- A desire to lead people in a respectful and empowering way
- Mechanical knowledge with the confidence to troubleshoot
- Strong communication skills and the ability to use them within a variety of organizational levels
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours (M-F, 4pm – 12am)
- An effective problem solver with the confidence to make sound decisions
- It’s a plus if you have experience working in a Union environment, manufacturing, or tire-building
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (supervision)
- High School Diploma
