Production Supervisor - Egg Processing Facility
Summary
Reporting to the Manager, the Production Supervisor will lead the team and oversee employee supervision across various areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily staff operations.
- Ensure the completion and accuracy of daily chore sheets.
- Monitor environmental controls in the barns and complex, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee equipment functionality and perform necessary preventive maintenance.
- Enforce effective safety practices and procedures.
- Assist with animal welfare programs and documentation for audit purposes.
- Be on call for 24-hour alarm calls and necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure thorough training for employees.
- Monitor stakeholder activities and adjust to optimize efficiency.
- Provide coaching and progressive discipline to employees as needed.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Collect weekly data and generate final reports.
- Manage bird relocations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Preferably an Associate degree in a related field (Agriculture, Business, etc.) or 5+ years of experience in the poultry industry.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a poultry production setting preferred.
- 1 to 3 years in a leadership role.
- Basic preventive maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English required.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to lead people and achieve results through others.
- Ability to hire, train, motivate, and retain a talented workforce.
- Effective coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary skills.
- Ability to plan, execute, and measure results and outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn various associated positions.
- Knowledge of effective safety practices.
- General understanding of electrical and mechanical devices with good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with computers, including Windows-based programs and systems.
- Ability to interact with individuals from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
