Production Supervisor
We have a DIRECT HIRE opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor working at a Cheese packaging facility in Monticello. The Production Supervisor’s responsibilities will cover the production floor as well as office work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in both environments. The Production Supervisor will work to complete production goals according to schedule, communicate resource needs and opportunities, handle paperwork and investigative tasks, and plan for deviations-reallocating resources as needed.
Hours: 5am to 4pm, M-Th, some half days on Friday
Pay: 70K to 80K DOE

Production Supervisor Office Work Responsibilities:
- Administer Payroll, PTO, and employee interactions
- Respond to emails promptly, within 24 hours
- Compile and communicate production status through reports:
- Shift reports
- Headcount needs
- Inventory and production shortages
- Administer trainings and audit current employee competencies
- Verify paperwork for production quality.
- Rebalance schedule throughout the week to ensure efficient production and completion of orders prior to shipment
- Boost morale through celebrating success
- Plan, prepare, and maintain & meet expectations for new product rollouts
- Collaborate with supply chain and planning groups
Production Supervisor Floor Work Responsibilities:
- Securely store and ensure all knives are accounted for at the end of each shift
- Ensure solid waste is properly handled and collected
- Responsible for overseeing allergen control, including proper allergen storage, spill management, and ensuring compliance with allergen labeling
- Communicate daily work plans
- Assign labor to meet production needs
- Develop Production and Machine Operators to back up leads
- Cross-train staff on multiple lines and serve as backup when needed
- Analyze departments to request resources where necessary
- Traini Production Operators to capture data on “inventory used and “line set up”
- Conduct weekly meetings to cover quality, productivity, and safety
- Conduct quality audits to ensure proper line set up and operation
- Occasionally engage in hands-on line work
Production Supervisor Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attendance and dependability
- Mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable in both office and floor environments
- Ability to delegate tasks as needed
