GENERAL SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations during the second shift at a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures production efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met while maintaining a smooth workflow. The Assistant Operations Manager leads and motivates the second-shift team, monitors performance, and implements continuous improvement initiatives to support operational goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and coordinate second-shift operations to meet production schedules and customer
- Provide direction, training, and support to production staff to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure all products meet company and regulatory quality and food safety Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address issues promptly.
- Monitor the shift environment for safety hazards and enforce compliance with OSHA, HACCP, GMPs, and other food safety protocols.
- Track production metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for Provide feedback to team members and escalate issues to the Production Manager when needed.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs and preventative maintenance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- Proficient in conflict resolution and fostering team
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- HACCP, GMP, and OSHA training Bilingual skills are a plus.
