Print NW, a leader in the commercial printing industry in South Sound and the seventh largest in Washington State, is seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to oversee our production operations. Role Overview:
As a Production Supervisor, you will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently. This role requires hands-on leadership and participation in daily operations, including operating equipment and collaborating with team members to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Coordinate with the Production Manager and Scheduling department to set production priorities and sequences that align with customer requirements and business goals.
- Team Development: Train and mentor team members, enhancing their skills and fostering a collaborative environment to meet production targets.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with the Quality Control team to maintain product standards and validate manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Project Management: Set clear objectives for production projects, including timelines and budgets, to ensure efficient resource allocation and completion.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with all team members and departments to facilitate seamless production workflows and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, focusing on achieving results and continuous improvement.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a production or manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated ability to manage teams and projects effectively.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with further education in production management or related fields preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Capable of creating and delivering training materials and operational documentation.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Office 365 and Outlook, along with a basic understanding of mechanical operations and mathematics.
Position Requirements:
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and reaching during shifts.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed and handle stress effectively to meet deadlines.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality with reliable transportation.
