Production Supervisor II - Spherion

Spherion Naples Florida is seeking a Production Supervisor II to directly supervise a small group of production and support employees engaging in similar or closely related production tasks while also performing many of the same tasks. The candidate must have solid knowledge of the job; substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job and a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job and possess supervisory skills.

Responsibilities:
Manage cell capacity to ensure customer needs and production plan are met.
Assist in coordinating resource allocation with other Production Supervisors to achieve shipment goals.
Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
Assist in the control of all related documents.
Assist in the development of cell policies and procedures.
Manage cross training, as well as, ongoing work process and policy trainings.
Provide leadership to the team, including leading team meetings.
Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and all instruments are calibrated.
Ensure all materials are current and not expired.
Conduct and discuss performance evaluations with direct reports.
Ownership of work policy enforcement, which includes disciplinary discussions and documentation as necessary.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Skills:
Lead by example in work ethic, attitude, and following work policies.
Recommend changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to follow though; high standard of attention to details.
Other support and duties as assigned.

Education:
High School

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
5 years of relevant work experience is required
Above average to expert knowledge of cell area.
Must be J-Standard certified.
Above average computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to thrive in an environment of constant change.
Must possess leadership skills.
Must possess troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
