SUMMARY
Shift Supervisor of Cell Production will lead and oversee manufacturing of entire Solar Cell production. Primary purpose of the shift supervisor is to orchestrate the day-by-day activities of operators of each shift and ensure that manufacturing operations for each process are executed in accordance with standard procedures. The shift supervisor will be entrusted with organizing the workflow of operators and technicians to increase efficiency and guide them to manage their duties in safe manner. This role involves optimizing the time and resource efficiency of operation procedures, minimizing downtime of equipment, and maximizing production output of the entire process flow.
The shift supervisor will be responsible of carrying out the plans and commands of Cell Production Team manager. Such responsibilities not only includes production management, but also material management, safety training, production efficiency improvement activities, etc. The shift supervisor should have an understanding of general operation procedures of overall production process, and will guide production operators and technicians to work in a safe and effective manner throughout each shift. Main performance goals of the shift supervisor are production output, equipment downtime, and production rework. The shift supervisor will play crucial role in assisting the team managers and the production supervisor to fulfill these goals as a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Main tasks of Cell Production Shift supervisor should include but not limited to the following:
- Analyze cause of declining performance and establish improvement plans.
- Check daily raw materials and production wafer in progress.
- Manage production quality by process and execute Out-of-Control Action Plan (OCAP).
- Manage material usage of consumable items, production materials, etc.
- Manage coordination of cleaning supplies and laundries.
- Request and report purchase of necessary goods and disposal of disused materials.
- Manage hourly employees for each shift while working day and night shifts.
- Assign and request number of operations and technicians needed for each process.
- Ensure safe and efficient workplace environment is provided to designated Operators including tools, training, or relations.
- Conduct daily meeting with designated operators.
- Report any occurrence of abnormal quality production in the process.
- Supervise coordination between quality improvement activities and production operations.
- Establish improvement plans to minimize quality issues caused by human errors.
- Execute appropriate countermeasures to process safety issues.
- Safety issue assessment to evaluate response actions and possible improvements.
- Ensure cleanliness of process production area.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
