What You'll Do:
As the Production/ Plant Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations, increase productivity through continuous improvements, and implement and enforce standards and policies to ensure safety and compliance of processes and products with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Your Accountabilities in The Role:
- Manages and provides hands on support to production and shipping operations to ensure complete, on-time and error free production and delivery.
- Manages and monitors cycle counts and inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory of production supplies.
- Manages and oversees processes to ensure standard operating and safety procedures are current and being followed.
- Leads and manages facility and equipment maintenance to reduce machine downtime and on-going efficiency.
- Develops plans and schedules production to ensure operations runs smoothly and efficiently to meet customer expectations.
- Collaborates with HR to assist in hiring, onboarding and training employees to continually grow competencies.
- Manages and approves timecards of direct reports to accurately provide payroll on a weekly basis.
- Collects, reviews and analyzes data to continually reduce inefficiencies and waste.
- Analyzes data and creates reports to present information on processes and outputs to executives.
Position Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations or similar field; will consider a combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; will consider training someone with leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Certifications: N/A
- Functional Skills: Strong planning, prioritization, organizational, and executing skills are required in this role; lean thinking skillsets are also needed to enhance the operations; math and analytical skills required to apply and comprehend data; excellent forward-thinking and project management skills are also important. Foundational understanding of ISO/Quality Systems, Safety, Lean thinking, 5S, and HR Basics preferred.
- Technology Skills: Strong computer and systems proficiency. Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Dynamics ERP systems.
- Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to work with all levels; Solid presentation and training skills needed.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Strong collaboration and influencing skills to effectively implement change; strong positive behaviors and work ethic - leading by example; able to effectively problem-solve and make solid decisions; conceptual thinker who can continually make enhancements to overall operations. Excellent leadership skills to develop, mentor, empower, and hold others accountable to the goals of the operation. Ability to perform all duties in an independent manner.

Other Important Information:
Position Status & Salary: Salaried Position. Salary is commensurate with proven expertise and behavior skills that fit the position.
And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!
Reports To: Assistant Operations Manager
Core Hours: Monday - Thursday; 5:30 am - 5:00 pm; some overtime as needed on Fridays; 45-hour work week on average
Direct Reports: 5 hourly shipping and receiving employees
Travel: Limited; 5% (For corporate training and meetings)
Work Conditions: Standard warehouse and office conditions; Indoors/Outdoors year-round; exposure to dirt, dust, rain, noise, equipment and vibrations; PPE required and provided. Lifting up to 50 lbs.
