PRODUCTION PLANNING ASSISTANT DAYS - Spherion

The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for working with customer service and manufacturing operations in Waseca, providing general manufacturing and planning support.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and maintain item numbers and BOMs
• Generate and maintain manufacturing work orders
• Monitor and maintain inventory records
• Support inventory accuracy activities; spot checks, cycle counts, annual inventory, etc.
• Maintain manufacturing capacity and load tools
• Work with production supervisors to establish production floor flow, priorities, and schedules
• Coordinate production/work orders with outstanding requirements and exceptions
• Work with supervisors and management to continually improve stocking plans, inventory targets, capacity/load tools, and systems
• Support ERP system improvements and growth
• Support sales related quoting activities, as needed
• Support corrective action activities
• Support product cost summary maintenance

Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalent
• 2-years related working experience
• Flexible, easy going, attitude
• Experience maintaining item numbers and BOMs
• Experience generating manufacturing work orders
• Experience maintaining inventory records
• Experience with inventory spot checks, cycle counts, annual inventory, etc.
• Experience maintaining manufacturing capacity and load tools
• Experience with production flow, priorities, and schedules
• Experience with production/work orders
• Experience with stocking plans, inventory targets, capacity/load tools, and systems
• ERP system experience
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Experience with product cost summary maintenance
