About the Job
The Production Planner is responsible for all aspects of finished product demand planning, stock replenishment, and manufacturing scheduling at Nutra Blend's Madera, CA facility. This includes ownership and improvement of related processes including product stock levels at the facility and regional distribution centers, material requirement planning, and product sequencing in the manufacturing process. In the role, the Production Planner will work collaboratively with the facility manufacturing team and other internal groups to contribute to continuous improvement projects. An ideal candidate is a highly collaborative individual with a bias for action and approaches problem solving/decisions with a data-driven mindset.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Demand planning of finished products manufactured at the Madera facility
- Stock level replenishment and calibration at the facility and regional distribution centers
- Scheduling manufacturing in accordance with internal quality and regulatory standards
- Optimization of schedules to meet or exceed service metrics, facility targets and manufacturing efficiency
- Material requirement planning and shortage identification
- Communication of material shortages to internal teams
- Manage non-inventory packaging materials
- Actively participate in facility meetings
Experience-Education (Required):
- Bachelor's degree required in business, operations, or related field
- 2-3 years previous supply chain experience
Competencies-Skills (Required):
- Effective communication (written & verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical/data-driven approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Office 365 suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Competencies-Skills (Preferred):
- Manufacturing scheduling
- Inventory management and analysis
- Experience with material requirement planning processes
- Experience with NetSuite ERP and advanced modules
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, macros)
The target salary for this position is dependent upon experience and is approximately $65,000-$100,000.
