POSITION SUMMARY: We’re searching for a deadline-driven Production Planner motivated by ensuring the daily operational needs of the production floor are met. You’ll play an integral role as part of the Fresh Cut Operational Leadership Team.
We’ll look to you to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily production schedules. We make all inventory to ship same day. POSITION SPECIFICS
- Compensation Information: $21.00 - $23.00/hour DOE
- Schedule/Shift Information: Rotating schedule with every other Saturday and every other Thursday off . Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri are consistent. 10 am to close. Will work 8 to 12 hours depending on business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Daily Production Schedule
- Create and maintain daily production, work, and shipment schedules and prioritize job orders for production optimization.
- Print labels and paperwork at the start of each day for production to begin.
- Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
- Confer with department supervisor(s) to determine progress of work and completion times and solving production problems.
- Examine all aspects of the scheduling process, including historical data, to improve production processes wherever possible
- Product Costing and New Product Builds
- Work closely with Operations Manager and Business Development to scope out new product costing including produce and packaging. Work with buyers to establish build cost.
- Review margins on a weekly basis to identify pricing changes and make recommendations
- Inventory Management
- Daily cycle counting and reconciliation
- Communicating with buying team to ensure accurate levels of inventory are purchased and shipped weekly.
- Evaluate shrink and raise concerns with Management
- Communicating with management about any inventory issues
- Work with the Purchasing team to resolve missing or damaged shipment, or any issues with orders
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 2+ year experience in production planning experience
- Previous ERP or Buying Software experience
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong ability to make decisions and solve problems
- Excellent communication skills and desire to continuously search for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Successful inventory specialists should have excellent interpersonal communication skills and use basic computer programs like Microsoft Office and Excel to communicate and retain records throughout their shift. They also need to be detail-oriented to maintain lots of inventory records or different departments and business areas.
PREFERRED QUALIFIFCATIONS AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Produce Pro experience
- Bilingual
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position works in an office next to the production floor, where the temperature is 34-36 degrees on a regular basis. So be prepared to dress in layers.
- Ability to walk the warehouse for daily inventory counts.
- Be able to sit and work at a computer for 8 hours a day with the ability to complete data entry
