Summary
This position is responsible for the daily planning and scheduling of all J Flow Controls sales orders/work orders. This entails ensuring that all sales orders are reviewed against the customer purchase order for accuracy. This will require close coordination with insides sales, Production Managers, Machine Shop, and Engineering departments. The incumbent will ensure open sales orders have all the required inventory, engineered drawings, machine shop raw materials, subcontract work and manpower to ship on the specified delivery date. If the specified delivery date cannot be met it will be the Production Planner's duty to notify the appropriate salesperson of the conflict and estimated revised delivery date.
Responsibilities
- Processing and Planning of Works Orders and Machine Shop Work Orders.
- Ensuring Work Order matches customer Purchase Order.
- Sets delivery dates according to customer needs and inventory.
- Maintains lead times.
- Notifies sales and customers if orders are delayed.
- Holds production meetings using SmartSheet to keep team informed of schedule.
- Inventory Management and Purchasing using excel for decision making processes.
- In charge of timely processing of RMA's.
Experience
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- 5+ years of working with MRP/ERP software.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Strong computer skills
