We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Planner to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and meeting our customer delivery requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and organizing production schedules, assessing project and resource requirements, and coordinating with various departments to ensure production goals are met on time and within budget. This position plays a critical role in our ongoing growth and efficiency improvements and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, coordinate, and execute production plans and schedule to meet customer demands and optimize production capacity.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, and production to ensure smooth operations.
3. Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet production requirements and minimize costs.
4. Analyze and forecast production needs based on historical trends, current inventory levels, and expected future demand.
5. Implement and maintain production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
6. Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and dispatch of finished goods.
7. Identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing waste in the production process.
8. Ensure compliance with industry safety and quality standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
9. Prepare and present reports on production activities and performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred but not required.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production planning role in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, inventory management, supply chain management, and logistics management.
4. Proficiency in forecasting and scheduling, with a strong ability to analyze and interpret data.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with various teams.
7. Proficiency in using production planning software and other related IT tools.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar would be an advantage.
