Entity: Production & OperationsJob Family Group: Operations GroupJob Description: bpx energy's Eagle Ford Production Operation Manager is responsible for managing a large team to deliver safe, optimal and environmentally sound operations, contributing to strategic development and taking accountability for efficient execution of activities, management of risks and delivery of objectives, whilst driving a continuous improvement culture.Job DutiesAccountable for the safe and environmentally responsible business delivery of Eagle Ford upstream well-site operationsResponsible for execution plan delivery including safety, environmental, production, and cost metricsEnsures risks are understood and managed in accordance with BPX processResponsible for operation of well sites, to safely deliver optimized production across the value stream from downhole through the facilities to oil/water/gas takeaway.Accountable for accurate production estimates and analysisAccountable for production and cost budgeting processResponsible for engineering, artificial lift, and optimization programs.Work with the Development team to provide operational input and needs into well site facility and well bore designs, future well startups including flowback and feedback on defects.Collaborate with the Midstream operations team to optimize base and new well production.
Work with the Midstream team to safely commission new CDP and gas take away upgrades.Ensures organization is receiving/completing value added training to maintain conformance and compliance as well as personal development.Manage operational relationships with JV and OBO partners.Works with 3rd party contractors, ensuring appropriate level of vendor accountability and BPX contractor management process assurance.Accountable for the handover/MOC/PSSR processProvide positive leadership while being a team playerShare knowledge with co-workers and strive to meet personal and company business goals and objectivesEssential criteria and qualifications:15 years experience in oil and gas or similar industryBachelor of science degree in a STEM related field3 years of management experience with emphasis on driving success in multidisciplinary teamsOnshore oil and gas operations experience delivering premier production and cost performanceTrack record of success in a dynamic work environmentEmbraces change and fosters innovation while maintaining rigorous processesExperience leading virtual teams using collaborative tools and outcome focused KPIs.Ability to spend 25% time in the field with the team focused on safety leadership and execution performancePRODUCTION & OPERATIONSThis is the place to truly drive change.
