Accountabilities:
- Ensures environmental, health, & safety (EHS) performance/regulatory compliance
- Accountable for the operation of brine wells, boilers, generators, evaporators and dryers
- Manages production department operating and capital budgets, cost, quality, and production tons quantity
- Supervises production department shift supervisors
- Manages equipment and process reliability
- Works with other departments to meet plant goals and commitments
- Participates/leads in production and maintenance coordination
- Drives improvement of efficiency and processes
- Special project assignments
- Participates in capital budget for production department and create/manage operating budget including labor, materials, and repairs
- Establishes and ensures attainment of all department Key Performance Indicators
- Responsible for developing and managing the shift schedule for 24x7 supervisors.
- Monitors and manages the department’s activities including analysis of operating data, preventative maintenance and compliance with safety and environmental regulatory guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and legality of all products and ensuring employees do likewise.
- Ensures Good Manufacturing Practice and Food Safety compliance
- Manages planning, operation, maintenance, & regulatory permit reporting of brine wells
- Performs other related duties as required
