Hoffer Plastics is hiring for "Production Manager"
The Production Manager under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, manages a team of production team members and is responsible for the quality, productivity, and safety of production during off shifts.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures production goals are met, production schedules are followed, and production processes are carried out safely and in accordance with quality standards.
- Oversees the daily activities of production staff, trains and mentors new team members and monitors employee performance.
- Ensures that safety procedures are followed and that work environment is safe, clean and organized.
- Facilitates communication between managers, supervisors and production team members.
- Maintains accurate records of production data, including volume produced, material used, and any deviations from standard processes.
- Identifies areas of improvement and implements continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and safety.
- Works closely with Operations, Engineering and the Automation Team on implementing the latest technology, in particularly automation, for new programs as well as continuous improvement projects for existing production.
- Understands project scope, timeline, budget, and actively manages and communicates changes and updates to all stake holders.
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
- Recommends cost saving ideas and actively contributes to continuous improvement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The incumbent will:
- Frequently sit and use keyboard
- Frequently stand, be exposed to fumes, odors, dusts, oil/grease, humidity.
- Frequently walk, bend at the waist, twist/turn, kneel/crouch, climb.
- Occasionally lift below and above the waist, lift above shoulder, push, pull, up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally use manipulative hand and foot movement, repetitive hand/wrist movement, squeezing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Plastics Technology, or Project Management or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ Years of plastic mold injection experience
- Experienced in the preparation of timing (Gantt) charts, spreadsheets, reports and presentations utilizing various software programs such as: Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Project, etc.
- Working knowledge of PLC hardware and Ladder Logic programming
- Excellent hands on electrical/mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of electrical controls, circuitry and schematics
- Familiar with principles used in multi-axis robotic systems, conveyor transport systems, manufacturing, assembly, sequencing and equipment.
- In possession of the analytical problem-solving skills to reduce complex issues to a series of defined actions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Effective at communicating with customers, supplier, and fellow employees in clear concise terms, using both written and spoken word.
- Disciplined in the documenting and communicating of issues and required actions.
- Capable of building and motivating project teams to meet and exceed project objectives.
- Proficient in organizing multiple projects of varying requirements while balancing the specific needs of customers and project team.
