Production Manager Opportunity!
A local, top-performing, and fast-paced manufacturer with a family-like atmosphere is looking for a Production Manager. In this key role, the Production Manager oversees production operations in the facility. This position manages the staff, materials, production schedule, and reviews productivity on every level with the Production and Leadership Team.
Production Manager Responsibilities:
- Maintains production capacity by determining, monitoring, and updating production priorities; managing staff.
- Schedule day-to-day assignments and ensures execution of communicated priorities.
- Assigns, schedules, coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees
- Generates work orders; reviews, orders materials, and distributes to work centers
- Checks on requests for expedites, on-time and late items
- Runs product line reports for the production departments; analyzes reports and develops solutions
- Proactively communicates risk of fulfillment issues to sales and highlights production bottlenecks
- Present weekly to company leadership department’s KPI’s, schedule misses and reasons why, improvement projects, etc.
- Provide hands-on leadership and training to production team members
- Lead, motivate, and support the production team.
- Oversee employee training assignments, ensuring training compliance.
- Ensure the accuracy of all documentation through periodic reviews throughout the production process.
- Maintain a culture of safety, quality, and compliance.
- Continually review workflow to improve efficiencies of the production line.
- Use of internal software system for production reports and production spreadsheets
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the President/VP for the overall benefit of the organization.
Production Manager Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience required, preferably in a similar Production Manager or Management role.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes; especially in machining and fabrication preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; additional consideration to candidates with Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong communication skills with proven track record of successful leadership.
- Proficient in conflict resolution, assessing needs and making decisions.
