Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Manager to facilitate the scheduling and resource allocation for our K-12 business unit. Under the direction of the K-12 Business Unit Director (BUD), the Production Manager will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring project workloads, forecasting revenue, and ensuring that project and individual performance goals are met. This role requires effective communication, proactive planning, and the ability to resolve scheduling conflicts to meet utilization goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Forecasting & Capacity Management:
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of business unit backlog, collaborating with the BUD to monitor and anticipate changes in staffing needs.
- Alert the BUD and COO of capacity changes and assist in staffing decisions.
- Manpower Planning & Resource Allocation:
- Manage project schedules and allocate resources effectively based on team needs and development goals.
- Maintain a macro schedule (quarterly) and a 3-week look-ahead to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Enter scheduling information in Vantagepoint and monitor project delivery milestones.
- Assign projects based on team members' skills, capabilities, and workloads.
- Coordinate with Studio Leaders and Production Managers to resolve manpower or scheduling conflicts.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Lead weekly business unit scheduling meetings and participate in firm-wide scheduling and cross-team coordination meetings.
- Provide regular, accurate reports on staffing, project schedules, and team workloads.
- Communicate with urgency to address critical scheduling issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May oversee Project Administrators or other support staff.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in project administration, coordination, or management, with a focus on scheduling and manpower planning.
- Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or related fields is a plus.
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse teams and personalities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software.
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and a commitment to supporting A+E collaboration.
Compensation:
The expected pay range for this role is $77,000-133,800 annual salary. Actual pay will be determined based on license, experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law. We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
