The Creative Services team is a small, versatile, and highly collaborative group within the College of Medicine. Each team member is ready and able to contribute to various projects as needed. We frequently work on large ongoing projects that involve every team member. We collaborate with different groups and departments across the college, university, and state, so we need to be adaptable to various needs as they arise.
The Production Manager, reporting to the Director of Creative Services, will be a skilled multimedia producer capable of creating graphic design and video projects. While graphic design will be the main focus, this position will also involve leading, managing, and assisting the videographer on video-related projects. The Production Manager will be responsible for keeping production timelines and serving as the creative manager for the team.
About the Team:
The Creative Services team offers a wide variety of services to the FSU College of Medicine including print, digital, and web design as well as video, photo, and animation production. Our main goal is to support faculty and staff so that they can provide a better experience for our students and help support the mission of the College of Medicine. We develop, create, and lead creative projects in support of both instructional and promotional needs. There’s no project too big or too small and we love a good challenge! We also feature a state-of-the-art production studio that has all the bells and whistles to help make projects shine including a green screen, high-definition cameras, a full lighting set-up, professional audio, and much more!
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for administrative, production, and project management activities in support of the Director of Creative Services at the College of Medicine. Designs and develops visual, digital, video, and other electronic media to support the educational, promotional, and informational needs of the FSU College of Medicine.
Production and project management of the Creative Services team. Serves as creative manager over all video and graphic media development for the College of Medicine. Maintains production schedules and timelines for all creative projects undertaken by the team.
Leads the design and development of print, web, and digital media for instruction, research, and community relations for the FSU College of Medicine. Designs and develops visual, digital, and other electronic media to support the strategic priorities of the College of Medicine.
Reviews the production activities and recommends changes to promote effective and efficient operations. Works with the Creative Services team to review the needs of College of Medicine faculty, administration, and staff. Provides recommendations and assists with graphic and video support; including, but not limited to, video and photo cameras, audio recording, visual communications, etc.
Provides video and photographic support for recording of live events, classes, training, and promotional videos including pre and postproduction support.
Supervises and maintains production studio, including all equipment to provide quality video, photo, and production services including web streaming, live presentations, and teleconferences.
Assists in writing, editing, and proofreading content and material to be used for instructional and promotional purposes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree and/or 5 - 7 years of experience.
- Experience and knowledge of social and content marketing strategies.
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM optimization.
- Knowledge of prepress and print production processes.
- Experience utilizing audio and/or video recording, mastering, and editing techniques.
- Knowledge and proficiency with a variety of cameras and production equipment including Canon camcorders and DSLRs as well as both MAC and PC environments.
- Experience video streaming live events.
- Experience script writing.
- Experience with project management.
- Experience with applicable computer programs, such as the entire Adobe Suite of products, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience using graphic layout techniques and art in a digital format.
- Experience designing and coding basic HTML and CSS.
- Experience with photography, graphics, and/or audio/visual associated operations.
- Knowledge of current media technology and ability to use, install and troubleshoot video, networking, and production equipment.
- Proficient skills in multimedia and knowledge of streaming video/audio, podcasting, webinars, and social networking tools.
- Experience with portrait and event photography.

Anticipated Salary Range
Anticipated starting salary in the $60,000’s, commensurate with education and experience.

This is an onsite position. The employee will work in-person at the main campus of the FSU College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm. Occasional nights, weekends, and travel are expected.
Final candidates will be expected to complete a skills assessment.
