JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Production Manager is responsible for all manufacturing to ensure a continuous shift operation, while ensuring all production operations are compliant with the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations.
Essential Functions

- Ensures the timely execution of the production schedule through effective labor management.
- Champions continuous improvement activities in production.
- Performs administrative reporting for operation in SAP environment.
- Manages budgetary responsibilities for the department.
- Manages Safety, Maintenance, Quality and Sanitation programs for manufacturing lines.
- Confirms production progress; rapidly responds to delays and changes; implements corrective actions and preventative action; monitors KPI performance.
- Commits to team based problem solving within operations and capable of fostering individual development across the team.
- Develops team to include; training, coaching and ensures positive employee relations.
- Ensures team understands roles and responsibilities as it relates to core accountabilities, including safety, quality, productivity and delivery.
*Responsible for Quality, Food Safety, Legality & Integrity.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule.
Travel Less than 10%
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in each phase of production operation, including managing employees, process implementation and purchasing
- 5-10 years of production and process improvement experience
- Extensive knowledge of food & beverage production or related processes
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience
