Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager to join our team at our facility located in Export, PA, 15632. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP software, environmental health and safety, budgeting/forecasting, leadership/people management, high-level operations analysis, and lean manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards
- Utilize ERP software to track and monitor production progress, inventory levels, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for improving production efficiency and reducing costs
- Lead and mentor a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Conduct regular analysis of production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing lean manufacturing principles
- Monitor and control production budgets, forecasting future needs and optimizing resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the production department
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, implementing best practices to enhance production operations
Qualifications
- Proficient in ERP software, with the ability to effectively utilize it for production planning and tracking
- Prior experience in budgeting and forecasting, with a strong understanding of financial principles
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- High-level analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex production data and identify areas for improvement
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application in a production environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a production setting
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
