Job Summary:
Production Manager works in our Syracuse, NY 3D Print Lab to provide outstanding oral prosthetics to our large network of Dental Practices for delivery to our patients in a timely manner. This position will be responsible for standard operating/production procedures, safety, quality control, delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. Position will provide support and leadership within the Manufacturing Department.
Salary Range : $85 - $100K
Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- To supervise manufacturing team and be responsible for the overall operations.
- Participate in improvements activities for quality, delivery, cost and safety objectives and will support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for work force planning and scheduling.
- Identifying the needs pertaining to training and development for department, while partnering to ensure execution.
- Hold team members accountable to company policies fairly and consistently.
- Perform or assist in troubleshooting 3D software and printers including but not limited to set-ups, changes, preventative maintenance and routine checks.
- Ensure housekeeping maintenance of 3D printers, washing units and curing units occur withing the company guidelines.
- Address operational, and technical downtime issues within the Lab.
- Train, motivate and mentor team members.
- Conduct training of new and existing employees to ensure quality expectations are met in partnership with Manger, Quality and Training.
- Lead team members in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality and productivity.
- Maintain and improve production throughput working with the Director of Operations to maintain profitability.
- Maintain a positive working environment among team members.
- Maintain all required reporting and documentation adhering to all OSHA and FDA requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining production efficiencies and meeting the set goals for relevant KPI’S.
- Quality inspection checkpoints to ensure high quality products and patient specific prosthetic units are properly delivered and tracked.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a supervisory role with a strong background in conflict resolution, time management and people development.
- Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Strong communication, organizational, problem solving, teamwork interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate accurately and professionally with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient computer skills
- Previous experience with Troubleshooting processes, results driven and effective decision maker.
- Experience as a dental technician is required.
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
