We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales growth. You will value teamwork, transparency, and accountability above all else. This role is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to take our manufacturing operations to new heights.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule, and ensuring that the production is cost-effective.
2. Monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
3. Review worker performance and identifying training needs.
4. Develop and implement innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
5. Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff.
6. Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
7. Prepare and maintain production reports.
8. Monitor and reduce waste and overtime.
9. Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
10. Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.
11. Coordinate with different departments in the manufacturing plant including suppliers and customers.
12. Set and manage production budgets and implement cost control programs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Logistics, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing management role.
3. Proven experience in production management.
4. Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
5. Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
6. Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
7. Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
8. Outstanding communication ability.
9. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
10. Attention to detail.
11. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
12. A team player with leadership abilities.
13. Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group.
14. Excellent problem-solving skills.
15. Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
16. Excellent physical health and ability to supervise and manage the physical demands of manufacturing operations.
