Production Supervisors are required to successfully complete 8-10 months of technical training provided by Silgan Containers. This will include writing reports, and discussions with plant management to understand can/end manufacturing processes and equipment.

What you'll do:
- Train personnel, apply written safety procedures, observe work areas for safety improvements, and learn investigative processes.
- Apply SPC principles and basic quality tools.
- Train procedures, manage equipment, and maximize production throughput.
- Learn factory organizations, enforce SOP's, and review standard reporting.
- Develop, mentor, direct, and assign employees work.
- Administer Labor contracts in union plants.
- Personal inspection of workforce, material usage, and production.
- Analyze reports.
We need you to have:
- High school diploma or GED, Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- 1+ year of supervisory experience
- Solid technical and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication, including both written and oral
- Statistical and computer knowledge
- Problem-solving and visual mechanic skills (blueprints and descriptions)
