Production Machine Operator
Job Title: Production Machine Operator

Reports To: Plant Manager

Hours: Full Time
Summary:
Set up and operate an automated production machine in the following areas of production: heads shop, small spin cast, medium spin cast, mat cutting table and winder. Read work order, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup and finish dimensions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain equipment independently
- Enter coordinate information into computer control panel
- From complex blueprints, measure and mark tanks
- Observe displays, process, and listen to machine to detect malfunctions
- Replace worn or damaged machine parts
- Correct quality defects
- Clean and maintain robot
- Scoop or pour abrasive particles into hopper of machine
- May trim, sand, and drill parts using shop equipment
- Record production work records
- Check completed projects for conformance to specifications and for quality
- Record and report defects
- Maintain clean products and work area
- Practice safe work habits and maintain safe work environment
- Share industry and company information in the development of new workers
- Assist others as needed
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and receive on the job training
- Willingness to share information in the job training process
- Work alone with minimal direction or as part of a team
- Excellent basic math skills required
- Ability to interpret complex specification sheets required
- Ability to directly communicate verbally required
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language proficiently.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous production experience required
Physical Demands
- Lift up to 20 pounds overhead.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand on concrete floor up to 10 hours per day.
- Wear personal protective equipment.
- Demonstrate adequate dexterity and stamina.
- Subject to periodic drug screening.
