Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:

• Oversee and direct a team of 5 lab professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Provide hands-on support as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

Lab Operations & Production Management:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain and oversee equipment for proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and calibration.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

• Ensure production functions meet GMP, GLP, and safety standards.
• Author and oversee CAPAs, investigations, and validation studies.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize production and quality compliance.

Inventory & Resource Management:

• Collaborate with Materials Management to maintain an adequate supply of lab commodities.
• Ensure accurate inventory transactions and reporting.
• Manage interdepartmental improvement projects, monitoring timelines and budgets.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with upper management to meet production and financial goals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project delivery.
• Prepare detailed reports and communicate progress and concerns effectively to stakeholders.

Qualifications
Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, chemistry, molecular biology, or related field.
• 5+ years of laboratory experience (preferably in an FDA-regulated environment).
• 5+ years of management experience with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
• Strong background in production planning and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in scientific/manufacturing principles within GMP/GLP environments.
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques, lab equipment operation, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of virology, immunology, cell and tissue culture, bacteriology, parasitology, and clinical laboratory procedures.
