Our company is currently searching a member to join our Production team as a Production Foreman who will work to provide support across our plant. This position will work within a team of other production staff and will be based in our Dixon, IL office. This role will require candidates to be able to work 12-hour shifts. We currently are looking for one day shift and one night shift foreman.
Key Role and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all production lines are operating at proper speeds and proper output levels while adhering to company's established quality policies and productivity standards.
- Ensure strict compliance and adherence to all established health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Work with Production Manager to assign personnel according to qualifications and establish shift schedules to meet production orders.
- Comprehend production schedules and provide completion estimates based on manpower and equipment availability.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain machine functionality during shift.
- Perform routine quality control procedures throughout shift, report defects or quality concerns to management.
- Maintain accuracy of production reporting.
- Ability to coach and train new hires on all machines and continually develop existing employees on building proficiency.
- Proper understanding of raw materials and verify correct blend of materials for each product line.
- Other duties may be assigned at times to meet facility and company needs.
Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years previous manufacturing experience.
- Ability to work independently and has excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to read measuring devices.
- Ability to supervise and lead team, promote teamwork, and champion company culture.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
- General computer skills including use of manufacturing software.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly.
