SUMMARY OF POSITION
Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Reports any process and equipment problems to the attention of upper management and/or the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Trains, evaluates, and reviews machine operators and helpers.
- In conjunction with the VP of Operations, the Production Planner, and the Quality Manager, organizes workflow for smooth production operations.
- Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
- Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards.
- In conjunction with Production Planner, establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Adheres to production schedules as set by Production Planner and VP of Operations.
- Effective utilization of required systems, including HQMS, Sage 500 ERP/DSCS, and handheld scanners.
- Is responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth.
- Participates in the selection and onboarding of new team members to ensure efficient time to productivity.
- Ensures established safety protocol is followed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Four to five years of experience leading in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management. Have a good command of the English language.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- High school diploma or GED required. College a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, light to moderate physical effort is required. Ability to lift 50 pounds and manipulate 50+ pound jumbo rolls of tape. Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment. Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion.
